About the Occupational Health & Safety Management Plan (OHSMP)


This comprehensive document is ready to customise to your specific contract; it is reviewed and amended regularly to reflect the current requirements in the Australian general (non-construction) works and services industry.

The plan has been designed to assist organisations with their OHS performance by providing a “standardised” approach to developing an OHS plan. The plan is suitable for use by Principal Contractors, Sub-contractors and self employed trades’ persons operating within the Australian service industry.

The plan is suitable for general (‘non-construction works’) works and services and includes any of the following:

    • The OHSMP outlines the minimum requirements for the management of OHS by relevant organisations such as WorkCover, WorkSafe, Councils, Federal and State government agencies and meets the principal requirements of:

  • Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Specification; with guidance for use; and
  • WorkCover OHS regulations
